Role Description: Supply Chain CoE - Sourcing and Procurement Lead

Work Location: Sholinganallur, Chennai.

DPO manages a number of client Sourcing and Procurement engagements across different industries and covering a range of categories and spend dynamics. HCLTech strives to deliver innovative approaches and solutions to our clients’ Sourcing and Procurement operations and ensure optimum pricing, supply assurance and strategic management of spend. The DPO Supply Chain CoE drives transformation and provides domain expertise to client delivery teams, clients and DPO Sales. The CoE also works with other HCL Business Units to leverage leading-edge product development, delivery and service strategies globally.

Responsibilities

Client facing role supporting new deal solution scoping and sizing; new program onboarding and ongoing delivery oversight.

Leverage best practices, solutions and resources across Sourcing and Procurement engagements and facilitate achievement of savings commitments.

Oversee Delivery teams and ensure best practices and innovation are applied to client processes

Develop roadmaps for improvements for our clients such as % spend under contract, % spend with preferred suppliers, % Catalog adoption, Payment Terms and DPO (Days Payable Outstanding)

Category Management – Manage Sourcing strategy for Direct and Indirect categories of spend

Manage Sourcing Events including RFx, eAuction etc. including iterative supplier interactions and selection of preferred vendor

Contract Negotiation and authoring; renewal and compliance monitoring.

Project Management of improvement initiatives and solutions

This individual will be part of a CoE team based out of Chennai with specialist sourcing and procurement capabilities and support the delivery units responsible for functional and global business processes.

The candidate is expected to leverage leading trends and technology developments in Sourcing and Procurement and be familiar with the ecosystem of 3rd party software solutions such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Zycus, Fairmarkit, Beroe, Jaggaer etc and emerging AI/GenAI tools and capabilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong Sourcing and Procurement domain knowledge having worked for or consulted to a large corporation and driving spend reductions through structured methodologies.

Preferable to have candidates from Companies providing Sourcing & procurement as a Service & also possessing a strong domain Industry experience in Life sciences, Telecom, Hi-tech & Retail/CPG. Good to have certifications in CPSM, CIPS. Etc.

The successful candidate must possess the following key attributes: Self motivated - Ability to “self start” and work independently.

- Ability to influence others, both within own organization, across HCLTech and client stakeholders
- Organizational skills – able to prioritize activities and initiatives between several competing customers.
- “Hands-on” attention to detail and working with teams at all levels
- Project Management – experience in managing resources, timeline and delivery using established project management tools and techniques.
- Analytical capabilities including statistical analysis
- Minimum Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred
- Strong process improvement orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to establish trust and credibility across HCLTech organizations and with clients
- Minimum 10+ years of Relevant experience
- Total experience of minimum 15+ years
- Global perspective – experience working with organizations and teams across the globe
- Must be flexible with shifts
