Job DescriptionThe Spend Analyst will oversee the processing, validation, and categorization of procurement spend data from multiple companies.Cleanse supplier and transaction records using SQL or Excel-based tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.Map spend into established taxonomies (Direct/Indirect; L1/L2/L3 levels) for precise analysis and reporting.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Commerce or Economics.Minimum 2-4 years' experience in spend analytics, procurement analytics, or data operations.Proficiency in Excel and SQL, with expertise in writing joins, groupings, and filters.Knowledge of data cleansing and normalization principles.Understanding of category taxonomies such as UNSPSC or custom corporate taxonomy.Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Familiarity with finance or procurement data including POs, invoices, supplier master, GL.Attention to detail with ability to work through large datasets systematically.Behavioral CompetenciesMethodical problem-solving approach.Ability to work efficiently in high-volume data environments.Curiosity and proactivity in learning new concepts.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Cross-time zone collaboration with US-based client teams.
