As a Software Engineer- Backend at DecoverAI, you’ll play a pivotal role in architecting and building the backend systems that power our cutting-edge platform. You’ll work closely with product, design, and frontend teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions that support millions of users across the globe. If you have over 4+ years of backend development experience and deep expertise in Python, this role is for you


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable backend services and APIs to support a robust, high-performance legal platform.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and designers to deliver features that provide exceptional user experiences.
  • Ensure code quality, security, and performance by implementing best practices and conducting regular code reviews.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex issues in production, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
  • Take ownership of backend architecture decisions and drive continuous improvement in system design and development processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping to elevate the technical capabilities of the entire team.


Key Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on designing scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Expertise in Python and a solid understanding of its frameworks and libraries.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) and building distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proven ability to work in agile environments and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
