Job Title: Storage & Backup Admin

Location: PAN India

Experience Range: 4 - 5 years

What are we looking for?

Storage

  • Disk Expansion after SME approval
  • Monitoring the alert ,based on the utilization we coordinate with system owners and SME
  • Monitor the Storage and follow up with SOP and coordinate with SME
  • Patching For Storage Appliances
  • Based on the Vulnerability we will coordinate with users and SME, Take actions.
  • Updating the operating system based on the request from SME
  • Update SOP with the latest information and practices
  • Alert monitor for Disk Quota for 3 clusters and take respective action inform by SME then we increase the quota.


Backup

  • We add the servers to rubrik backup as per the user requirment so that in case if any issue occurs on the server, we can restore it.
  • When user raise the decommission request for the server, remove it from the rubrik backup. Take the final backup if requested by user.
  • We work on global rubrik events report when we manage all the failures, Find RCA and take necessary action on it.
  • We daily work on avepoint report for 5 locations. we monitor the jobs finished with exception and create the graphs.
  • When user accidently delete file/mail we restore it from AvePoint as such as OneDrive/Exchange/SharePoint or User left the organization and Manager required the files/Email we restore it from AvePoint.
  • We daily receive rubrik report which contains the AHV VMs without SLA assigned. Assign SLA domain to those VMs in rubrik Cluster.
  • When user do any application upgrade without taking any pre-request snapshot. The only option to restore the VM is from backup.
  • We randomly pickup the object every annual such as VM/Files/NAS/Exchange and etc to verify the backup is working as expected. If it fails we will inform SME and work with Vendor to know the reason of failure.
  • Updating the operating system based on the request from vulnerability and required for the current enviroment.
  • User request to take the on demand backup before the decom the VM.
  • Update SOP with the latest information and practices
  • Check Health check of Edge VMs and rubrik cluster after any planned maintenance on Cluster or Site
