Job DescriptionThe Senior Merchant will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing new sourcing strategies to enhance business operations.Key Responsibilities:Inform team leaders of task accomplishments, report issues and status of individual or group projects, and act as a backup for team leaders in their absence.Develop and maintain established relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.Assist in distributing team workload and provide reports on documentation activities against the program plan.Provide support to manage procurement standard operating procedure upgrades and ensure that all functional processes are defined, documented, maintained, communicated, and implemented. Assist in training and coaching the team on operational and technical processes.Assist in driving quality on existing and new processes and monitor operational controls for continuous improvement to align with sourcing strategies and policies.Be the primary point of contact for escalation processes by applying comprehensive comprehension of operational practices, procedures, and internal controls to identify areas of improvement.Responsible for executing procurement processes ensuring the end-to-end purchase order process is completed and aligned with strategic sourcing strategies and policies.Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant work experience.Preferred QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in extracting by-products from various commodities such as oil seeds, bran, cakes, and de-oiled cakes for dairy, poultry, and aqua feed businesses.Excellent communication skills.DisclaimerProtect yourself against recruitment fraud.
