Loan Approval Specialist Job DescriptionThis role involves evaluating complete loan documents and making approval or denial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of US mortgage underwriting experience and be well-versed in FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze credit reports to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records, and credit reconciliationPerform thorough income calculations, including salaried income, business income, retired other income, and rental incomeVerify assets, including bank account statements, retirement accounts, mutual funds, and other investmentsEvaluate collateral and property valuationCredit analysis based on borrower's income, asset, liability, and collateral (4C of Underwriting) to determine credit worthinessValidate and process loan documents on behalf of a Mortgage lender organizationEvaluate evidence of borrower's willingness and ability to repay the obligationRequirements:Minimum 3 years of Underwriting experience in US MortgageSound knowledge of US Residential mortgageExposure to Underwriting processes & guidelinesExcellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgmentAnalysis and calculation of qualifying income from various tax documentsWhat We Offer:A challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
