Diabetes Specialist Physician RoleThe specialist physician plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within their division. The position involves diagnosing complex conditions, managing patient care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the supervision of junior medical staff.Main ResponsibilitiesPatient Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, formulate personalized treatment plans, and prescribe appropriate medication.Treatment and Procedures: Perform necessary procedures/surgeries related to the specialty and liaise with other medical specialists.Collaboration and Consultation: Liaise and consult with other medical specialists, departments, and support services for holistic patient care.Documentation: Accurately document clinical information in compliance with legal requirements.Quality Improvement and Research: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities to enhance patient safety and care standards.Supervision and Education: Provide instruction and guidance to junior medical staff.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: An MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.Post-Graduate Training: Completion of a structured clinical residency or fellowship program in endocrinology.Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience post-specialization.Licensing: A valid medical license is highly preferred.Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous medical education.
