Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable to join our finance team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in accounts receivable, demonstrating expertise in managing collections, invoicing, and customer account reconciliation. This role is essential for maintaining effective financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely revenue collection.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receivables Management: Oversee and manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collection efforts, and cash application.
  • Customer Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable ledgers and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Reporting: Generate and present reports on accounts receivable performance, including aging reports, collection forecasts, and overdue accounts.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and financial regulations. Assist with audits as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts receivable function.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support junior accounts receivable staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and professional development.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-8 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable, with a proven track record of managing collections and customer accounts.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable processes and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
