Job Title: Data Governance Functional LeadDescription:The organization is seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Data Governance Functional Lead. This individual will be responsible for driving enterprise-level data governance initiatives, ensuring that all data assets are properly managed and utilized throughout the organization.Key Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Data Governance Frameworks: The successful candidate will be tasked with designing, implementing, and institutionalizing data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across business units.Lead Business Workshops: Conduct workshops with clients to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments.Establish Governance Councils: Help set up and formalize the Data Governance Council by documenting charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models, ensuring clarity and accountability within the team.Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work closely with data engineering, architecture, and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica, ensuring seamless integration and effective data management.Implement AI Governance Principles: Develop and enforce AI governance principles, guaranteeing compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies, promoting responsible innovation.Ensure Governance Maturity: Partner with senior business leaders, data owners, and IT teams to drive governance adoption and maturity, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all governance processes align with Microsoft Security and Compliance Frameworks, regulatory standards, and enterprise risk guidelines, mitigating potential risks and maintaining a secure environment.Requirements:For this critical position, we seek a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of data governance best practices and expertise in setting up governance councils, policies, and AI governance practices within an enterprise environment.Experience in data governance, AI governance, and complianceStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with technical teamsFamiliarity with data governance frameworks and platformsBenefits:As a valued member of our team, you can expect:A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesA collaborative and dynamic work environmentJoin Our Team:We invite you to join our team and contribute your expertise to drive data governance excellence.
