Job OverviewThis role is a key member of our culinary team.Main ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional food quality and service.The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, coaching, supporting, supervising, and evaluating all direct reports.Maintaining quality and consistency in taste according to corporate instructions is crucial.The ideal candidate must have excellent food knowledge and a full understanding of culinary terms.A high level of efficiency and productivity is required to meet the demands of this busy role.Coordinating team members and assigning tasks accordingly will be a key part of this position.Daily recipe reviews and maintaining folders in impeccable condition are also essential responsibilities.Following through on requests and reporting discrepancies is critical to ensuring seamless operations.Control production levels and recommend improvements to optimize performance.Requirements and QualificationsA minimum of 8 years in an upscale hotel or cruise ship experience is required, with at least 2 years as Chef de Partie.A culinary school degree is essential.Strong management skills in a multicultural environment are necessary.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.Superior customer service and teambuilding skills are essential.Knowledge of personalized services principles and processes is desirable.Strong planning, coaching, and evaluating skills are critical.Intermediate computer software skills are required.A good understanding of basic accounting principles is beneficial.
