Key Role: Data Migration EngineerMission Overview:We are seeking a seasoned Data Migration Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role involves leading the migration of reporting data sources from Teradata to BigQuery.Job Responsibilities:Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for migrating existing data sources from Teradata to BigQuery.Collaborate closely with the BI and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and optimize data pipelines.Design and implement new tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to support migrated reports.Conduct thorough QA validation to ensure data accuracy and performance parity post-migration.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to query performance, permissions, or connectivity.Requirements:5–10 years' experience in data engineering and migration.Expertise in GCP – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and SQL.Familiarity with Teradata and Power BI (report connectivity).Fluent English language skills for effective collaboration on an international team.Benefits:Flexible 100% remote work model.Competitive compensation package based on experience.Standard daily overlap with EST.How to Apply:Please share your resume with us at careers@hish.ca along with your current and expected salary range and notice period.
