Information Security Manager Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of information security principles, policies, and procedures, as well as experience with risk management and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001.Key responsibilities include:Understanding client policies and procedures and suggesting improvements related to information securityReviewing and recommending improvements to on-premise/cloud infrastructure setupPreparing policies and procedures for information securityImparting training on information security best practicesPerforming internal audits covering all departments as per ISO 27001 requirementsThe successful candidate will possess a degree in engineering (computer science/IT), MCA, or business administration, with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT roles. A professional security management certification like ISO 27001 Lead Auditor is mandatory. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of common information security management frameworks, including ISO/IEC 27001, SSAE 18 SOC2, Privacy Framework – ISO27701, and NIST.
