Job Title: Senior Data EngineerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled data professional to join our organization and contribute to building a modern data platform on AWS.Key Responsibilities:Data Pipeline DevelopmentDesign, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on AWS to ensure efficient data processing and high-quality output.Legacy System MigrationMigrate legacy data solutions (Siebel, Talend, Informatica) to modern AWS-native services, leveraging cloud-based architectures to improve scalability and performance.Data Lake ArchitectureImplement and manage a data lake architecture using Apache Iceberg and AWS Glue to provide a centralized repository for storing and processing large amounts of data.Data Warehousing SolutionsWork with Redshift for data warehousing solutions, including performance tuning and modeling to ensure optimal data retrieval and analysis.Data Quality and ObservabilityApply data quality and observability practices using Soda or similar tools to ensure data accuracy and reliability throughout the data pipeline.Data Governance and Metadata ManagementEnsure data governance and metadata management using Atlan (or other tools like Collibra, Alation) to maintain data consistency and integrity across the organization.Collaboration and CommunicationCollaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions that meet organizational needs and drive business growth.Platform DevelopmentBuild scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms supporting both batch and real-time use cases to support business operations and decision-making.Best Practices and InnovationParticipate in defining and enforcing data engineering best practices and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve data processes and outcomes.Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Strong Technical SkillsFamiliarity with data engineering tools and technologies, including AWS, Apache Iceberg, and Redshift.Excellent Problem-Solving AbilitiesAble to design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines and systems.Effective Communication and CollaborationContinuous LearningCommitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.BenefitsThis role offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and development within our organization.
