Position: Senior Manager, Research & Knowledge Management

Reporting: Programme Director or equivalent
The Role: The position requires a candidate to build and lead the research and knowledge management within theFoundation, as it embarks on its new strategy as an independent philanthropy. The candidate will be required to drive all research and knowledge management initiatives of the Foundation primarily involving urban climate change and other related programmes. The role will play an integral role in assisting the Foundation towards building a robust knowledge management and dissemination vertical.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive ESG research and analysis, evaluating Foundation’s performance against industry-specific criteria and standards.
· Identify key ESG risks, opportunities, and trends, providing insights to support strategic decision-making andrisk mitigation.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement ESG strategies, policies, and initiatives that align withsustainability objectives.
· Monitor and measure ESG performance indicators, track progress, and produce regular reports tocommunicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
· Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations, industry best practices, and emerging sustainability trends,incorporating them into organizational strategies
Required experience & competencies:
· A Postgraduate in economics / finance / business or environment & sustainability practice
· Specialized work experience in research and knowledge management revolving around environment,sustainability, urban climate change, waste management or related areas is preferred
· 10 years of work experience in research with a consulting organization or a research focused non-profitorganization in the development sector (Ideally, some experience and knowledge of ESG related topics)
· Strong data analysis and quantitative skills, with expertise in data interpretation and visualization
· Familiarity with ESG rating methodologies, tools, and databases, including Bloomberg ESG, MSCI ESG andSustainalytic
· Good written and verbal English communication skills
· High levels of integrity and empathy in handling professional relationships & team members
About H T Parekh Foundation:
The H T Parekh Foundation was established in 2012, to commemorate the birth centenary of Mr H. T. Parekh, the visionary Founder and Chairman of erstwhile HDFC Limited (HDFC). HDFC has since merged with HDFC Bank w.e.f.1.7.2023.
The Foundation commenced operations in 2014. In it’s first decade of giving, it operated as the philanthropic armof HDFC, implementing HDFC’s Corporate Social Responsibility mandate. Since the merger in mid-2023, theFoundation has transitioned to being an independent, domestic philanthropy. As part of this transition, we havedeveloped a new strategy and approach towards our giving. This new thematic area titled
U.R.B.A.N. (Urban Resilience Building Action Network), is intended to become the flagship programme of theFoundation, and will form the basis of our work and giving over the next decade.
