We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimation Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, maintaining clear communication with customers, and ensuring timely and precise quotes. The role demands expertise in engineering drawings, machining cycles, and aerospace standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 


  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers to understand requirements and provide updates. 
  • Ensure clear and effective communication regarding project specifications and cost-related queries. 
  • Prepare detailed cost estimations based on raw material (RM) input, machining cycle times, and outsourcing costs. 
  • Analyze and incorporate all factors impacting cost, including materials, labor, and process complexities. 
  • Compare estimated machining cycle times with actual cycle times to identify and resolve variances. 
  • Optimize estimation processes to improve accuracy over time. 
  • Deliver cost quotations to customers within a one-week timeframe, ensuring adherence to deadlines. 
  • Continuously refine processes to minimize quotation turnaround times. 

Skills and Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 
  • Strong knowledge of production systems, aerospace standards, and raw material grades. 
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings. 
  • High level of accuracy in cost estimation and cycle time analysis. 
  • Ability to identify and address intricate details in estimation processes. 
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry, with proven capability in cost estimation and customer interaction. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for cost estimation and project management.
