Operations Trainee Job Description Company: Gate Corporation USA Role: Operations Trainee Experience: Freshers Location: Hitech City Job Summary: This role is designed for fresh MBA Operations and B. Tech Mechanical graduates to gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations. The Operations Traineewill be trained to oversee production, maintenance, supply chain management (SCM), and project management processes. This position offers a structured learning pathway to develop leadership skills, technical expertise, and operational excellence, with opportunities to work directly under the CEO and MD for strategic growth. Key Responsibilities: • Gain a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, and supply chain processes. • Learn to coordinate production schedules, balance resources, and optimize machine performance. • Understand lean manufacturing methodologies like 5 S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive process efficiency. • Assist in monitoring daily production targets and maintaining quality standards. • Support team leads in managing workflow, resource allocation, and machine uptime. • earn preventive and corrective maintenance processes to minimize equipment downtime. • Understand how to track equipment performance and recommend maintenance improvements. • Gain exposure to procurement, inventory control, and logistics management. • Work with teams to monitor raw material availability and optimize inventory levels. • Assist in project execution, including new product launches and process improvement initiatives. • Track project progress, identify challenges, and recommend solutions under guidance. • Analyze operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and identify trends for process improvement. • Develop presentations and data-driven reports for review by the CEO and MD. • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project updates, inventory levels, and resource utilization. • Learn how to analyze operational KPIs and propose corrective measures. • Participate in initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure process optimization. • Understand safety protocols, quality standards, and company compliance policies. • Assist in promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence within the team. • Work closely with the CEO and MD to understand business strategies and their alignment with operations. • Present reports, share progress updates, and contribute to key decision-making discussions. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA in Operations Management. • Strong eagerness to learn and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point for report preparation and data analysis. • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and ERP tools (training will be provided). • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety standards. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and under the mentorship of senior leadership.
