Role and Title: Scientific Publications (English language)
Qualification: PhD, CMPP™

Experience: 15+ years of medical communications experience, preferably gained across both publications and non-publications deliverables. But English Publications experience is a must. Ideal if candidate has CMPP certification.

Lead Scientific Publication BU
End-to end management of the English Publication Business Unit in JPAC region; responsible for overall BU revenue targets, resourcing and delivery management.
Build business development and growth strategy to expand publication (wider MedAffairs) service offerings in JPAC region. (Core business is currently in China. Delivered through India based offshore team of writers / reviewers and China based onshore team pf PMs and Sales leads)
Attend and represent company in conferences, pharmaceutical CI seminars, and tradeshows on-site.

Account/Client Management
Collaborate with Account Management (Sales) team to assess client requirements and work with internal teams to develop competitive proposals.
Preparing proof of concept, samples and make presentations to clients. Participate in client meetings as a scientific lead and resource on behalf of Indegene.
Develops and maintains strong working relationship with senior leaders of Medical Affairs team across clients to understand their medical strategies and translate into actionable publication plans.
Manage client project requirements, collaborate with Indegene on-site resources, and supervise closely the offshore (India) global delivery team.
Client services management - ensure high client satisfaction (CSAT) scores, manage their expectations, and work along with them on-site to deliver quality and timely services.

Business and Revenue ownership:
Ability to work with clients and internal sales team to create sound revenue projections on quarter-on-quarter basis
Ability to manage resources and related costs to deliver projected revenue.

End to End Publications and Medical Strategy development
Manage a multi-geography team of writers and project managers to develop scientific content for English publications (incld. posters, review articles, manuscripts, HEOR, Medical Information Management etc.) which is consistently rated high on depth, comprehensiveness, quality, style, timelines and set publication standards.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of the therapeutic areas, client and competitor products, the market, the publication requirements, the regulatory environment and international standards for disclosing scientific content
Manages client expectations from medical content strategy and development perspectives.
Leads medical content discussion/ defense in calls, reviews, and medico-legal process.
Drives continuous improvement initiatives for improving efficiencies, reducing costs, and improving overall quality of content
Collaborates proactively with internal team and external subject experts/ key opinion leaders etc.

Business and Revenue ownership :

Training and Development
Mentor junior writers as well as providing general scientific and strategic guidance and advice ensuring the team’s ability to deliver based on evolving client requirements in the region.
