VASA Indica is a retail-as-a-service platform revolutionizing retail by bringing digital-first and emerging brands into a physical space in Delhi’s high-fashion Chhatarpur district. Hosting 60-70 creative brands, we provide retail solutions and marketing support that amplify each brand’s unique story. Role Overview
We’re seeking a proactive Merchandiser to lead our brand curation and inventory management efforts. This role is central to ensuring that our store remains fresh, engaging, and aligned with customer preferences. You’ll scout emerging brands, negotiate terms, and manage the onboarding process from start to finish, ensuring seamless integration of new brands into our store. Additionally, you’ll oversee inventory, manage restocking, and work closely with our sales and QC teams to optimize product flow, ensuring a consistently exciting and diverse shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Scouting & Negotiation : Identify and negotiate with emerging brands from across India, bringing in high-potential brands that align with VASA Indica’s unique style and customer base.
Onboarding Management : Oversee the onboarding of new brands, including organizing product specifics, logistics, and inventory documentation (line sheets, challans, etc.).
Inventory & QC Oversight : Maintain organized records of inventory and logistics, oversee quality control with team members, and coordinate restocking, replenishment, and replacement of collections as needed.
Collaboration with Sales & Feedback Capture : Work closely with the sales team to understand demand trends, capture customer feedback, and make data-driven decisions for product rotations.
Curation Strategy : Develop a balanced, seasonal product mix based on customer demand, optimizing our store’s layout and maximizing retail space utilization.
Brand Relationship Management : Build and maintain positive relationships with partner brands, ensuring continuous communication, support, and feedback.
Skills & Experience Required
5+ years of experience in merchandising, inventory management, or brand management, preferably in a retail setting.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to foster productive partnerships.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for managing onboarding processes and inventory documentation.
Proactive communicator, capable of coordinating across sales, QC, and logistics teams.
Self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of brand curation and ensure a vibrant, customer-driven selection.
