Software Tester - Inspection WorkflowsWe're looking for an experienced software tester to ensure the quality of our inspection management platform. As a mid-level QA/Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for testing new features, maintaining test automation, and championing quality throughout the development lifecycle.About the RoleYou'll work closely with our engineering team to identify, document, and track bugs through resolution. You'll perform regression testing for releases and hotfixes, validate user workflow, data gathering, and quality reports. You'll also ensure cross-browser and responsive design compatibility, verify data integrity across inspection workflows, and set up test automation frameworks from scratch.ResponsibilitiesTest Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and execute them to ensure high-quality releases.Bug Tracking and Resolution: Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution, ensuring timely fixes.Test Automation: Set up and maintain test automation frameworks, including Cucumber/Capybara, Ruby scripting, and CI/CD pipeline configuration.Environment Setup: Configure and maintain test environments independently, using Linux/command line proficiency and Docker/containerization basics.Integration Testing: Verify data integrity across inspection workflows, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.User Experience: Test traditional Rails views (ERB/HAML), complex inspection workflows, PDF report generation, and payment integrations.RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you'll need:4-7 years of software testing experience in web applications.Proven hands-on experience setting up or maintaining test suites.Strong understanding of SaaS platform testing, manual testing expertise, and API testing using Postman or similar tools.Experience with multi-tenant application testing, production issue troubleshooting skills, and Agile methodology.Hands-on experience setting up Cucumber/Capybara from zero, establishing test environments without guidance, and configuring CI/CD pipelines.Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript knowledge, Chrome DevTools proficiency, and Linux/command line proficiency.BenefitsWe offer:Full remote position with flexible working hours.Company laptop with testing tools, access to necessary testing platforms/devices, browser testing tools subscription, and test management tool access.Supportive environment for learning and growth.What We SeekWe're looking for a detail-oriented tester who can think like both a developer and an end user (property inspector).
