Job Summary:Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the financial accounting functions within our company.This role requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance.The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting the overall success of construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage yearly audit and tax compliance process, ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure control over actual expenses vs Budget and participate in cash management position and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to decision-making.Oversee the use of Yardi, the Property and Accounting software.Should have knowledge of preparing project profitability report and percentage of completion method of accounting.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and policies.Continuously assess accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures.Requirements:CA/CPA with 8-10 years of experience in real estate/construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and follow-up skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with Yardi or similar systems.Ability to take initiative and manage teams effectively.
