The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the operating systems and firmware for our embedded devices, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:- Develop, optimize, and maintain device operating systems including Android, Linux, and other embedded firmware.- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure smooth integration of OS components with device hardware.- Implement device drivers, middleware, and peripheral support to enhance device functionality.- Perform system-level debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.- Contribute to the design and development of custom OS features to meet product requirements.- Ensure security, stability, and scalability of the device OS.- Document technical specifications, procedures, and system configurations.- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices.Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.- Proven experience in developing and maintaining Android OS and Linux-based embedded systems.- Strong understanding of embedded system architecture, drivers, and firmware development.- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Java.- Experience with kernel modifications, device driver development, and debugging tools.- Knowledge of hardware interfaces and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).- Familiarity with build systems, version control, and continuous integration.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.Preferred Skills:- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).- Knowledge of security best practices in embedded systems.- Familiarity with Android HAL development.- Experience with cloud integration and IoT platforms.If you find this opportunity interesting kindly share your below details (Mandatory)Total ExperienceExperience in Operating System –Experience in Android –Experience in Embedded System - Experience in Linux -Current CTC-Expected CTC-Notice period-Current Location-If you had gone through any interviews in Synechron before?
