Roles and responsibilities:

Undertake Feasibility Studies and Prepare Design Basis ReportDevelop designs for HVAC Piping and Plumbing systems. Knowledge with the design of Drainage and Fire Protection Systems will be an asset.Prepare mechanical construction drawings and specifications in collaboration with other discipline (architects and engineers) design teams internal and external to MH.Provide oversight and primary design expertise for "Buildings" related mechanical engineering assignments and the mechanical team's associated deliverables.Provide technical leadership to the mechanical design team consisting of Junior/Intermediate Engineers, Intern Engineers, and Designers/support staff.Review Vendor Submittals / Shop Drawings for compliance with Engineering Design and Tender Documents.Support the MCF Team Lead / Staff Manager in managing the workload and utilization of the mechanical team and in ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineeringKnowledge of ASHARE StandardsMinimum 6 years of experience with design of Mechanical HVAC and Piping Systems, within the consulting engineering industry, of which at least 3 years cover projects within for the institutional, healthcare, mission critical (data center) and similar sectors.Proficient in the use of Revit/BIM360, with ability to effectively communicate design intent to production staff. Ability to read and write specifications.Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to work exceptionally well and efficiently in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to guide and oversee the work of junior engineers and CAD Staff.
