Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Purchase Executive with 2-4 years of relevant experience in the forging industry to join our procurement team. Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of raw materials, components, and services required for the forging process.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness.
Procurement Operations:
Source and purchase raw materials, including steel, alloys, and other forging materials, according to production requirements and quality standards.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with manufacturing schedules and specifications.
Negotiation and Contracts:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms for the organization.
Review and analyze supplier proposals, contracts, and agreements to mitigate risks and optimize procurement outcomes.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, and place orders accordingly to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
Implement inventory control measures and processes to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for purchased materials and components.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements and industry regulations.
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze procurement costs, trends, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Prepare reports and presentations on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in procurement practices, including vendor selection, contracting, and purchasing activities.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor‘s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
6-8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the forging or metalworking industry.
Solid understanding of forging processes, materials, and specifications.
Proven negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost savings and value-added initiatives.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and procurement software.
Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
