Job Title: Purchase Executive - Forging Industry

Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Purchase Executive with 2-4 years of relevant experience in the forging industry to join our procurement team. Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of raw materials, components, and services required for the forging process.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness.

1. Procurement Operations:

• Source and purchase raw materials, including steel, alloys, and other forging materials, according to production requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with manufacturing schedules and specifications.

1. Negotiation and Contracts:

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms for the organization.
• Review and analyze supplier proposals, contracts, and agreements to mitigate risks and optimize procurement outcomes.

1. Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, and place orders accordingly to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
• Implement inventory control measures and processes to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for purchased materials and components.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements and industry regulations.

1. Cost Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze procurement costs, trends, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.

1. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in procurement practices, including vendor selection, contracting, and purchasing activities.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the forging or metalworking industry.
• Solid understanding of forging processes, materials, and specifications.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost savings and value-added initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and procurement software.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
