Job Purpose

The Chief Solutions Architect Welldoc is a critical leadership position which involves a combination of thought leadership, acute execution capabilities and deep technology understanding. The role requires deep technical expertise - to develop / improve and drive Welldoc products, core systems and processes. This role also requires very close collaboration with product management team, data science team, business teams and other engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery and execution.

Responsibilities

Report to senior organizational leadership, manage the team of technical and data architects.
Envision and develop long-term strategies and roadmaps in all architecture disciplines to
business goals and identify risk scenarios and mitigation plans
Effectively research emerging hardware, sensor, software technologies that can enhance the competitive differentiation, efficiency, scalability and value associated with Welldoc’s platform solutions
Manage and extend the Microsoft Azure .NET and Databricks Solutions architecture
Represent engineering teams on various intra-org initiatives, interactions with customers.
Hands on experience of coding/ implementation and delivery of Microsoft Azure .NET, iOS, Android based solutions
Expert knowledge of iOS MS .NET Azure PaaS, iOS and Android Native Development
Good working knowledge of data engineering, ETL process management, data visualization, AI model development and ML OPS processes
Documentation of solutions (e.g., architecture, configuration, and setup)
Ability to lead nearshore/offshore engineering teams
Collaborate with other architects to maintain the blueprint for corporate architecture and ensure integration between business units
Deliver architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency inline with strategy
Provide very strong technical guidance and direction to the engineering teams
Contribute strategically by working with tech leaders to maximize the productivity of and improve development processes to create better systems - and bring all teams on board on these principles
Effort estimation and ensuring that execution is in accordance with plan. Abilities to
Execute multiple projects within the team while maintaining the quality standards
Cultivate relationships with business stakeholders
Support technical discussion for Pre-Sales for key customers as well as existing clients
Help individuals on the teams to chart out a career path - in the form of various skill development and growth both horizontally and vertically
Demonstrate your passion to understand and learn new technologies, to innovate and improve quality of service

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in full stack .NET Development experience, must include knowledge of mobile applications development using native OS SDKs
At least 10+ years’ experience in technical leadership role, driving technical direction for leading technical teams in defining, creating, and releasing new products.
Direct experience of a range of services from the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform Infrastructure and Security related services such as Azure AD, IaaS, PaaS, Containers, Storage, Azure Monitoring and Security.
Direct experience of enterprise solution shaping and Microsoft Azure Cloud using a application architecture, Service Bus/ Event Driven Solutions, Architectures, IoT Services, Databricks platform, FiveTran and other ETL tools, Ingestion and Reporting services.
Experience setting up, deploying, and managing multiple environments to support agile development approaches.
Possession of either the Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions or Architecting Microsoft certifications.
Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including services and message-driven architectures.
Recent hands-on developing / coding role.
Skilled with Azure PaaS components and Azure DevOps tooling., .NET Core, JavaScript frameworks (React), Entity Framework, RESTful services, Server, etc.
Leadership experience in a fast-growing team.
Possesses strong influencing and facilitation skills to engage subject matter experts to requirements, challenge, and gain credibility on critical business issues at and executive level
Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment, deal with chaos and bring about order.
Ability to evangelize best practices
Ability to inspire team members to better themselves every day.
Strong result orientation and willingness to continuously improve engineering practices
Acquaintance of cloud PaaS offerings (AWS, Google, Oracle)

Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either, prior experience working in those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Equivalent. MS or PhD in such technical fields very desirable
