This role is for one of the Weekday s clients Salary range Rs 7000000 - Rs 13000000 ie INR 70-130 LPA JobType full-time We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead mentor and grow a team of talented software engineers The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise proven leadership skills and the ability to deliver complex projects at scale You will play a crucial role in driving the technical vision ensuring high performance and maintaining a strong culture of collaboration and excellence within the engineering organization Requirements Key Responsibilities Leadership People Management Lead and inspire a team of engineers fostering a culture of ownership innovation and continuous improvement Mentor and coach engineers on career growth skill development and technical best practices Manage performance reviews goal setting and hiring processes to build a high-performing team Technical Excellence Oversee end-to-end architecture design and implementation of scalable reliable and secure systems Collaborate closely with product managers designers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure timely high-quality delivery Maintain technical oversight across multiple projects ensuring code quality best practices and adherence to architectural standards Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve system performance Project Execution Delivery Drive planning prioritization and execution of engineering roadmaps aligned with business goals Manage project timelines risks and dependencies ensuring effective cross-functional coordination Identify and resolve technical challenges and bottlenecks proactively Ensure continuous integration deployment and monitoring practices are followed for smooth product releases Collaboration Communication Work closely with product design QA and DevOps teams to deliver robust user-centric solutions Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Represent engineering in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making Required Skills Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical field 8-16 years of total experience in software engineering with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity Proven track record of leading engineering teams in building large-scale high-performance and distributed systems Strong technical background in backend frontend or full-stack development with hands-on experience in technologies such as Java Python Node js Go or similar Experience with cloud platforms AWS GCP Azure and modern development practices such as CI CD containerization Docker Kubernetes and microservices architecture Solid understanding of system design data structures algorithms and performance optimization Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience in managing geographically distributed teams Exposure to agile scrum methodologies and experience in scaling agile practices Previous experience in a product-based or high-growth startup environment Understanding of modern observability tools and DevOps best practices
