experience on basic and detailed design and project co-ordination of Electrical works on Infrastructure Power Oil and Gas and M M projects Has a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical design the principles and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating with other technical disciplines Candidate should have exposure to Indian US Euro and other foreign codes standards and local practices Major Responsibilities A Performs electrical discipline work which involves the preparation interpretation or review of calculations specifications and electrical layout plans including lighting and grounding systems B Participates in one or more of the following Smart Plant Electrical SPEL Equipment design and development System design including concept sketches and layouts Preparation of specifications and design calculations Reviewing and checking designs drawings and data by other engineers or by suppliers Preparation of engineering studies and reports Preparation or review of material quantity estimates Uses computer aided design computer aided engineering CAD CAE tools C Reviews design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a moderate degree of complexity and prepares comments recommendations D Assists in preparation of forecasts quantity take-offs and change orders E Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon directness trust communication teamwork empowerment innovation and satisfaction Education and Experience Requirements A recognized bachelor s master s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university with an overall experience of minimum 3 years Site experience will be an added advantage Required Knowledge and Skills Technical knowledge of engineering systems engineering calculations applications of engineering methods and construction methods and materials and application of computer aided engineering CAE computer aided design CAD tools to engineering problems Experience of preparing technical specifications datasheets material requisitions and vendor print reviews for various electrical equipment Knowledge of preparation of load list MCC schedule etc Experience in various electrical layouts like grounding raceways and lighting etc Review of 3D Model using SPR or Navisworks and be a stakeholder in 30 50 and 90 Model Reviews with Client Vendor and Subcontractors Knowledge of project controls within discipline Good knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline Basic skill in
