Sr. Project Engineer Structural Design

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Project Engineer - Electrical Design Team Division EES EITC - Chennai Bangalore Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team with strong expertise in Electrical System Design for LV Power Distribution panels The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving new product development ensuring compliance with international standards to deliver high-quality solutions Develop comprehensive schematics and layouts for low-voltage LV electrical panel and sub stations Drive end-to-end development of new products from concept to commercialization Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications ensure manufacturability and meet project goals Ensure designs adhere to international standards such as IEC AS NZS 3000 Work with certification bodies to obtain necessary product approvals Nice to Have Circuit Breaker Transformer Contactor Relays CT PT Bus Bar Sizing ELCB and RCCB selection Perform Load Flow Analysis Short Circuit Analysis and Arc Flash for different products from time to time Prepare engineering documents including wiring diagrams technical specifications and bills of materials BOM Create and manage design validation reports and testing documentation Plan and execute testing and validation of electrical systems ensuring reliability performance and compliance Analyse test results and implement corrective actions as necessary Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and accountability within the team Onsite support during proto-typing and testing Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical system design and development with significant exposure to electrical substation LV panel design Education Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering Knowledge Requirement Strong knowledge of IEC 61439 international standard Hands-on experience with low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies including electrical panels motor control centres and component sizing Proficient in electrical design tools and simulation software ETAP MATLAB Simulink etc Electrical Testing Validation Electrical product assembly integration PLC Programming Nice to have Personality Requirement Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on team engagement and motivation Enthusiastic positive minded and able to work well in an international client environment Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues Epiroc is a global leader in providing innovative equipment tools and services for the mining and construction industries Our commitment to sustainability and electrification drives our mission to create a cleaner more efficient future If you re passionate about shaping the future of battery systems and want to be part of a dynamic team we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity Epiroc is a global productivity partner for mining and construction customers and accelerates the transformation toward a sustainable society With ground-breaking technology Epiroc develops and provides innovative and safe equipment such as drill rigs rock excavation and construction equipment and tools for surface and underground applications The company also offers world-class service and other aftermarket support as well as solutions for automation digitalization and electrification Epiroc is based in Stockholm Sweden had revenues of more than SEK 60 billion in 2023 and has around 18 200 passionate employees supporting and collaborating with customers in around 150 countries Learn more at
