About the Role

As an SDE 1 - UI, you will be responsible for building intuitive, performant, and scalable web experiences. You’ll work on user-facing features that directly impact millions of users, contributing to Navi’s mission of making financial services simple and accessible. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving real-world problems, care deeply about clean design and great UX, and are eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

What We Expect From You

- Develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications with clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and maintain code quality.
- Continuously learn new technologies and frameworks to improve development efficiency.

Must Haves

- 1 to 2 years of experience in web development, preferably in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent Computer Science fundamentals, functional programming, data structures and algorithms.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and converts larger fuzzy problems into actionable pieces.
- Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks like React.js (preferred) or similar frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility, web performance optimization, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
