Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud & Delivery Focus) - Toppan Merrill

Location:Chennai, India

Toppan Merrill is looking for aSenior DevOps Engineerto join our growing team and play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for a new product. This role is key to shaping the development, deployment, and operational efficiencies of our platform. Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructureto support scalable and reliable applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Setup, optimize, and enhance CI/CD pipelinesto enable faster, more reliable software delivery.
- Implementsecurity best practicesin DevOps workflows, including vulnerability scanning and compliance monitoring.
- Monitor and optimizesystem performance, availability, and cost efficiency, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate withcross-functional teamsto improve delivery speed, system reliability, and security.
- Define and track key metricsrelated to software delivery effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Critical Experience & Tooling

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Terraform
- CI/CD Pipelines & Automation:Jenkins, Octopus Deploy
- Source Code & Repo Management:Bitbucket (or similar Git-based systems)
- Cloud Platforms:Azure (or comparable cloud experience)
- Monitoring & Observability:Datadog, Splunk, Azure App Insights, or similar tools
- Security & Compliance:Snyk, SonarCloud
- Containerization & Orchestration:Kubernetes (preferably AKS), Helm

Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have)

- Experience withAnsibleor other configuration management tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g.,Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA),HashiCorp Terraform Associate,Azure Certificationslike AZ900 or AZ400) are a plus.
- Exposure toNoSQL databases(e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience withbuild toolslike Maven, Gradle, npm, NuGet.
- Familiarity withWiz.ioor similar cloud security tools.
- Exposure toRDBMS(e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
- Experience withDatabricksor similar big data platforms.
- Familiarity withLeanandDevOps best practices.
- Experience with high-traffic, scalable applications.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g.,Python,Java,Bash,PowerShell,Groovy).
- Experience usingJira,Confluence,Ardoqor similar tools would be an added advantage.

Qualifications

- 8+ yearsof hands-on experience in aDevOpsorSRErole.
- Bachelor s degree inComputer Science,Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Strongproblem-solving skillsand a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Excellentcommunicationandcollaborationabilities.
