Senior Technical Program Manager

Role Introduction Senior Technical Program Manager As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will provide leadership delivering an ambitious programme of content development technical project management as well as delivering change and contributing to the delivery of technology with key stakeholders This is a leadership position and has full accountability for the successful outcome of strategic initiatives within the Product Engineering organisation Work closely with Engineering VPs cross-functional teams and other key stakeholders to define the scope deliverables required resources work plan budget and timing for new initiatives What You Will Do Key Performance Objectives Lead Strategic Engineering Programs Across the Stack You will coordinate and manage end-to-end delivery of technical programs involving multiple teams technologies and stakeholders You ll bring structure to ambiguity create clarity on ownership and ensure delivery aligns with business goals Drive Backend Development Using NET and REST APIs Lead initiatives focused on building and scaling backend microservices using NET Core NET 6 C and RESTful APIs Ensure technical feasibility scalability and security are embedded in the architecture Oversee Cloud Architecture and Deployment Architect and optimize solutions hosted on public cloud platforms Azure AWS or GCP Promote cloud best practices including high availability disaster recovery scalability and performance monitoring Enable Frontend Engineering Using Vue or React Support the delivery of user-facing applications using Vue js or React Ensure smooth integration with backend APIs and help drive UI UX consistency and performance across platforms Align Engineering Execution with Business Outcomes Partner with product managers designers and leadership to clarify priorities break down initiatives into actionable plans and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the software delivery lifecycle Track and Improve Engineering KPIs Establish meaningful technical KPIs such as deployment frequency system uptime issue resolution times and code quality Ensure continuous improvement through retrospectives feedback loops and performance analysis Identify and Resolve Delivery Risks Proactively surface risks to timeline scope or quality Use your problem-solving mindset and cross-functional influence to remove blockers and keep initiatives on track without compromising engineering excellence What You Will Have 12-15 years of experience in software engineering or technical program management Hands-on knowledge of NET Core NET 6 C and building RESTful APIs Proven experience managing software programs across cloud platforms Azure AWS or GCP Strong grasp of HTTP web protocols and integration of server-side and client-side applications Exposure to modern frontend technologies like Vue js or React Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments Strong communication stakeholder engagement and leadership skills Certifications such as PMP CSM SAFe or cloud architecture certifications Azure AWS GCP are preferred What We Do For You Wellbeing focused - Our people are our greatest assets and ensuring everyone feels their best self to come to work is integral Annual Leave - 20 days of annual leave plus public holidays Employee Assistance Programme - Free advice support and confidential counselling available 24 7 Personal Growth - We re committed to enabling your growth personally and professionally through development programmes Life Insurance - 2x annual salary Personal Accident Insurance - providing cover in the event of serious injury illness Performance Bonus - Our Group-wide bonus scheme enables you to reap the rewards of your success Who We Are OneAdvanced is one UK s largest providers of business software and services serving 20 000 global customers with an annual turnover of 330M We manage 1 5 million 111 calls per month support over 2 million Further Education learners across the UK handle over 10 million wills and so much more Our mission is to power the world of work and as you can see our software underpins some of the UK s most critical sectors We invest in our brilliant people They are at the heart of our success as we strive to be a diverse inclusive and engaging place to work that not only powers the world of work but empowers the growth ambitions and talent of our people To learn more about working at OneAdvanced please
