Shop Floor Monitoring: Observe and assist in managing daily production activities on the shop floor. Monitor operator performance, line output, and workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with shift-wise production targets and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 2. Production Support & Coordination: Support line supervisors and production managers in maintaining production schedules. Track material availability, coordinate with cutting and finishing teams, and assist in resolving bottlenecks. Help with manpower deployment and daily line balancing under the guidance of senior staff. 3. Quality and Compliance Assistance: Learn to identify basic garment defects and help implement corrective actions. Assist in quality audits during in-line and end-line inspections. Understand quality assurance systems, AQL levels, and industry-specific standards. 4. Industrial Engineering Support (if required): Observe work measurement, time study, and method improvement processes. Assist in updating skill matrices and operator efficiency records. Help implement lean manufacturing concepts and 5S on the floor. 5. Data Collection & Reporting: Maintain production logs, shift reports, and daily progress sheets. Record machine downtime, operator absenteeism, and style changeover time. Assist in preparing daily production summary reports and dashboards. 6. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure that safety norms are being followed on the floor. Report any unsafe practices or incidents to the supervisor or EHS officer. Participate in safety awareness programs and monthly audits.
