The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial transactions efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial data entry, compliance with statutory regulations, and support in internal/external audits.Key Responsibilities:1. Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Record day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime Pass journal entries, purchase, sales, contra, receipt, and payment vouchers Maintain ledgers, cash book, and general accounts accurately 2. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Prepare and verify purchase and sales invoices Maintain customer and vendor accounts Follow up on receivables and ensure timely payments to vendors 3. GST & Taxation: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) Calculate Input Tax Credit (ITC) and output GST liabilities Deduct and deposit TDS and generate TDS certificates (Form 16A) 4. Banking & Reconciliation: Handle bank transactions including deposits, withdrawals, NEFT, RTGS, and cheque entries Perform bank reconciliation (BRS) regularly and resolve discrepancies Maintain petty cash book and reconcile balances 5. Payroll Assistance: Assist in preparing salary sheets, salary payments, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT) Record salary entries and generate payslips (if applicable) 6. Inventory Accounting (if applicable): Maintain stock entries and inventory valuations in Tally Monitor stock movements, damage, or stock discrepancies Coordinate with warehouse/store team for accurate stock records 7. Reporting & MIS: Generate accounting reports like Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Ledger Statements Prepare monthly MIS reports on expenses, revenue, receivables, payables, etc. Support management with financial insights and data as required 8. Audit & Compliance Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and records Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements Maintain proper filing of bills, vouchers, and supporting documents 9.
