Join us to transform the way the world works. The Products and Services Marketplace (PSM) organization in Product Engineering is looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team to drive product and technology programs. In this role, the candidate will manage high-priority, high-profile programs and work closely with engineering and product leaders to drive critical programs in the organization. Successful candidates will have a solid track record of program management and will have demonstrated excellent technical, leadership, organizational and communication skills. In addition, the right candidate will care deeply about the products they work on, are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment.
Our Product and Services Marketplace (PSM) vision is to become the definitive B2B commerce platform for all organizations worldwide, empowering marketers, sellers, buyers, users and customers to drive better outcomes for themselves and their businesses. The PSM strategy recognizes that we will continue to deliver value to our LinkedIn Marketing Solution (LMS) and LinkedIn Sales Solutions (LSS) businesses, and that the lion's share of our investment will be going to directly drive growth in these two areas. Location:
The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Own successful delivery of large, high impact and highly cross-functional programs by leveraging deep technical expertise to develop detailed plans with key milestones and goals, identify and mitigate risks, solve for dependencies, remove impediments, and ensure timely and smooth program launches
- Manage multiple concurrent projects/programs
- Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives
- Drive teams and individuals in planning and executing roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs
- Drive bi-annual roadmap and resource planning activities and deliverables
- Ensure cross-team alignment on goals, priorities, roadmap, schedules, communications, and releases to all stakeholders
- Provide reporting on project status, risks, issues and mitigation plans
- Identify gaps, unblock issues, and drive alignment between groups and functions
- Create a collaborative work environment that fosters shared understanding, transparency, mastery, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning
- Coach and mentor others in the best practices of modern technical planning and execution.
- Possess business strategy understanding and product intuition
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of full-time technical program management experience within an engineering or technical team
- B.S./B.A. degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects/programs
- Demonstrated success driving the development program of world-class online products
- Significant experience working with software engineering leadership, technical teams, individual contributors and external clients
- Knowledge of complex technical ecosystems and adequate technical depth
- Ability to build collaborations and create a community of leadership
- Be a thought leader; someone who can help advance strategy and challenge others in the organization to make important improvements
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills combined with strong negotiation ability delivered with a high level of influence and professionalism
- Agile coaching and practitioner experience (Scrum, Kanban) with multiple teams.
- Experience in managing all phases of end-to-end product development
- Knowledge of Internet client/server social networking applications and systems
- Hands-on software development experience
- Experience working on ATS integrations
