Position: AI Tutor Statistics Specialist Type:Full-time Compensation:$90,000$200,000/year Location:Palo Alto, CA (in-office five days per week) or Remote Commitment:9:00am5:30pm PST for the first two weeks of training, then 9:00am5:30pm in your local timezone Role Responsibilities - Use proprietary software to annotate and evaluate statistical data, equations, and model outputs. - Design and select challenging statistical problems in areas such as probability theory, regression modeling, and Bayesian inference. - Collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation tools and workflows for higher accuracy and efficiency. - Analyze and critique AI-generated statistical reasoning to improve clarity, correctness, and interpretability. - Ensure the highest standard of data quality and maintain consistency across diverse tasks and formats, including text, voice, and video. Qualifications Must-Have - Master's or PhD in Statistics, or Mathematics with a strong focus on probability or applied statistics. - Exceptional command of English, both written and verbal. - Proven ability to analyze complex data and apply sound statistical judgment. - Strong research and reasoning skills with excellent attention to detail. - Ability to work independently while managing evolving and complex instructions. Preferred - PhD in Statistics or a closely related quantitative field. - Peer-reviewed publications in statistics, probability, or applied modeling. - Previous teaching or tutoring experience in university-level statistics or mathematics. - Prior involvement in AI training, data labeling, or model evaluation. Compensation & Legal - Competitive pay ranging from $90,000 to $200,000 annually for U.S.-based professionals, depending on experience and location. - Comprehensive medical benefits for all full-time employees. - U.S.-based applicants must reside outside of Wyoming and Illinois. - Visa sponsorship is not available.
