The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing and installation of mechanical systems, components, and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and hands-on knowledge of engineering tools and software. This position involves working on various aspects such as product design, production planning, machine maintenance, HVAC systems, fabrication, or quality assurance, depending on the business domain. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that improve efficiency, safety, and product reliability.Key Responsibilities1. Design & Development Design mechanical components, assemblies, or systems using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.). Perform calculations related to stress analysis, material selection, tolerance, load distribution, and thermodynamics. Develop 2D/3D models, prepare detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, electronics, and civil engineers) for integrated product development. 2. Manufacturing & Production Support Assist in production planning, process optimization, and equipment layout planning. Provide support during the manufacturing process, including troubleshooting technical issues and suggesting process improvements. Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Participate in material planning, BOM preparation, and inventory analysis. 3. Quality Control & Inspection Conduct quality checks and inspection of mechanical parts using measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. Analyze product failures and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensure adherence to ISO standards or relevant quality management systems. Maintain quality records and prepare reports on production performance and product quality. 4. Maintenance & Installation Plan and supervise the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machines, tools, or mechanical systems. Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for machines and production lines. Troubleshoot breakdowns, perform diagnostics, and coordinate repair or replacement of faulty components. Ensure machinery complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. 5. Project Management & Coordination Assist in planning, budgeting, and executing mechanical engineering projects. Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to track project milestones and deliverables. Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for stakeholders. Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and safety parameters. 6. Research & Innovation Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in mechanical engineering. Evaluate new materials, technologies, or methods for improved performance or cost-efficiency.
