Job Description

This role is for a Quality Analyst to join a newly established Global Shared Services office. The ideal candidate will be a functional tester who can work closely with the development manager to identify software weaknesses, establish testing best practices, and contribute to the quality of the company's applications.

Responsibilities

- Review design specifications to ensure a complete understanding of the project.
- Identify test requirements from specifications and design tests to ensure full project coverage.
- Develop, document, and maintain test cases, including test data and scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report the results.
- Immediately identify and report any potential quality issues to the manager.
- Isolate, replicate, and report bugs, then verify bug fixes.
- Help set up and implement best practices for software testing, including automated testing.

Skills

- Strong ability to create clear, concise, and detail-oriented test plans and test cases.
- The ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools (preferably JIRA), SQL, and Java is preferred.
- Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team, with good work ethics.

Qualifications

- A University degree.
- A Software Quality Certification is expected.
- Relevant QA technical experience.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
