What You'll Do
- Drive New Business: Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification to closing deals with SaaS product teams, engineering leaders, and enterprises.
- Educate and Evangelize: Articulate ATA's unique value proposition—demonstrating how our all-in-one platform outperforms competitors in API lifecycle management.
- Build the Pipeline: Leverage outbound and inbound channels, including cold outreach, social selling, conferences, and partnerships.
- Customer Discovery: Identify use cases and pain points in API tooling, qualifying customer needs and mapping them to the ATA platform.
- Shape our Sales Playbook: Collaborate with founders to define ICP, refine messaging, and establish scalable sales processes.
- Feedback Loop: Relay market insights and customer feedback to influence product roadmap, marketing, and customer success strategies.
Who You Are (Must-Haves)
- Proven Closer: 3+ years in SaaS sales (with a strong track record of exceeding quota in a startup or high-growth environment).
- Founding/Early Sales Hire Experience: Prior experience as a founding or early sales hire at a SaaS startup.
- Pipeline Builder: Brings their own network/leads and can independently build and manage a sales pipeline.
- API Product Sales Experience: Prior experience selling API-related products.
- Technical Savvy: Able to grasp technical concepts and communicate ATA's innovations to both technical and non-technical buyers.
- API Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with API management, testing, or developer experience platforms.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Comfortable with ambiguity, resourceful, and energized by the opportunity to build something from zero to one.
- Relationship Builder: Skilled at consultative, value-based selling and developing trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-Motivated: Results-oriented, disciplined, and effective in a remote, asynchronous work environment.
