About Simplotel Simplotel is a Bangalore-based Software-as-a-Service SaaS company helping over 2 500 hotels across 26 countries grow their direct business We are powering e-commerce for some of the largest hotels in India The name Simplotel comes from a combination of Simple and Hotel - our mission is to Simplify the life of hoteliers through technology Simplotel is a Shopify for Hotels was founded in October 2013 and is funded by Go-MMT - India s largest Online Travel Agency -Simplotel was awarded the best startup in travel hospitality for 2021 by Startup India an initiative of the Union Ministry of Commerce Industry in India Content EditorWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Content Editor to join our dynamic team at Simplotel As an editor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy quality and relevance of hotel-specific content Your meticulous attention to detail exceptional editing abilities and understanding of the hospitality industry will contribute to enhancing the user experience of our clients in the hotel management sector Skills Required 1 Content Review and Enhancement a Edit and proofread hotel-related content to ensure accuracy clarity consistency and compliance with established guidelines and standards b Review and improve content for grammar punctuation syntax style and tone maintaining a high standard of written communication 2 Industry Expertise Develop a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry including trends terminology and best practices to create content that resonates with our target audience 3 Content Creation Collaborate with subject matter experts to create original and engaging hotel-specific content such as blogs guides tutorials and FAQs tailored to the needs of our users 4 Content Optimization Optimize content for search engines SEO to improve visibility and drive organic traffic to our platform 5 Quality Assurance Conduct regular audits of existing hotel-related content to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure ongoing accuracy 6 Collaboration Work closely with the marketing product development and customer support teams to align content with overall business goals and user needs 7 User-Centric Approach Champion the user perspective and contribute insights to improve the user interface and experience 8 Project Management Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards Qualifications 1 Bachelor s degree in English Journalism Communications Hospitality Management or a related field 2 Proven experience 2 years as a content editor copy editor or similar role preferably within the hospitality industry 3 Exceptional writing editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy 4 Familiarity with the use of a CMS and a strong aptitude for technology 5 Proficiency in SEO best practices and keyword optimisation 6 Excellent organizational and project management skills 7 Ability to work independently meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 8 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Location Bangalore ref updazz com
