Global Service Owner for Network Service

Your roles and responsibilities:

The Network Security Engineer will implement, and optimize comprehensive network security solutions to protect the organization's global IT infrastructure. This role focuses on leveraging Zero Trust principles, advanced firewall technologies, SASE frameworks, and IDS/IPS systems to safeguard critical assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in network security, a strategic mindset, and the ability to align security solutions with business objectives in a complex, multi-vendor environment.

This role is contributing to the IS Services in Bangalore Location.

You will be mainly accountable for:

- Develop and maintain network security configurations based on Zero Trust principles, including identity-based segmentation, micro-segmentation, and integration with IAM systems like Okta or Azure AD.
- Configure, manage, and optimize advanced firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Secure Firewall, Check Point) to ensure threat protection, policy compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Implement and manage SASE solutions (Zscaler, Netskope, Cato Networks), integrating components such as SD-WAN, secure web gateways, and CASB to secure cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Deploy, tune, and manage Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (e.g., Snort, Suricata, Cisco Secure IPS) to detect threats accurately and coordinate incident response.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards (GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001), conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans, and maintain comprehensive security documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network engineering, cloud ops, compliance), provide technical guidance, promote best practices, and stay updated on emerging security technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; 5-8 years in network security with 2-3 years focused on Zero Trust, firewalls, SASE, IDS/IPS; preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, CEH, PCNSE, NSE 7, GIAC.
