Your roles and responsibilities:
The IT Network Connectivity Automation Engineer will be responsible for implementing, and optimizing advanced network connectivity solutions to support the organization's global IT infrastructure. This role focuses on leveraging Software-Defined Networking (SDN), automation, and programming to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient network architectures. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SDN technologies, network automation frameworks, and programming, combined with the ability to align solutions with business objectives in a complex, multi-vendor environment..

This role is contributing to the IS Services in Bangalore Location.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Design and implement end-to-end network connectivity solutions using SDN technologies (SD-WAN, NFV, intent-based networking) across LAN/WLAN, WAN, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows and orchestration pipelines for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting using tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Python scripts.
- Write clean, maintainable code in Python, Go, or JavaScript to support network automation, integration, monitoring, and collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Exposure in protocols such as BGP, OSPF, etc and security frameworks including zero-trust architecture, firewalls, network segmentation, and threat detection.
- Automate network performance monitoring and capacity planning using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, Cisco DNA Center, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud operations, and other teams to align network solutions with business and technical needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5-8 years in network engineering with 2-3 years focused on SDN and automation;
- preferred certifications include Cisco CCIE (Data Center/Enterprise), Cisco DevNet Good Communication skills.
- Team handling experience.
