Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about entertainment, TVs, or building world-class products that are used and enjoyed by millions of customers Amazon's Fire TV organization is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead partner-branded TVs for Japan and APAC.

Join us as we set the scene for what's next in TV.

Key job responsibilities
. Understand the needs and related trends for customers, TV partners, and offline consumer electronics retailers
. Keep abreast with the technologies and trends related to TVs
. Define the product strategy for the region accounting for customers, partner and business needs
. Define the roadmap for TVs including TV line-up, specifications, software features working backwards from customers, partners, industry and business needs
. Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
. Work closely with engineering, program management, and QA teams to implement and deliver the product, on-time and exceeding a high quality bar
. Drive decisions across cross-functional teams that include engineering, UX and commercial teams.
. Drive product launches in concert with Engineering, Go to Market, operations, PR and other teams

A day in the life
. Work with TV partners on defining the product roadmap, product requirements
. Write BRDs, strategy docs, or PRFAQs
. Work with engineering and other tech teams to build the product and see them through launch
. Work with go-to-market, business development, finance, PR and other internal teams on the launch of TVs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with consumer electronics
