This role is for one of the Weekday s clientsLocation GurgaonJobType full-timeAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented SCM Procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities related to solar modules and operations maintenance O M equipment This role is critical in ensuring the seamless supply of high-quality materials and services required for solar projects while optimizing costs and maintaining strong vendor relationships The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of solar supply chains procurement strategies and vendor management in the renewable energy sector RequirementsKey Responsibilities Manage procurement activities for solar PV modules inverters balance-of-system BoS components and O M consumables spares Develop sourcing strategies to meet technical specifications delivery timelines and cost targets for utility-scale and rooftop solar projects Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of supplier proposals in collaboration with engineering and project teams Identify evaluate and onboard qualified vendors both domestic and international with a strong focus on Tier 1 solar module manufacturers Lead contract negotiations including pricing payment terms warranty clauses and service level agreements Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to align with project execution schedules Monitor supplier performance delivery reliability and material quality and initiate corrective actions as needed Maintain accurate procurement documentation including purchase orders contracts supplier databases and cost analysis reports Collaborate with legal finance logistics and project execution teams to ensure smooth cross-functional coordination Monitor market trends supply-demand dynamics and policy changes related to solar modules and renewable energy equipment to inform procurement decisions Key Skills and Competencies Proven experience 510 years in procurement and supply chain management specifically in solar modules and O M equipment procurement Strong understanding of solar PV technologies module specifications mono bifacial PERC etc and O M requirements Demonstrated ability to manage complex vendor negotiations long-term agreements and supplier relationship management Familiarity with government policies MNRE guidelines ALMM compliance and import export procedures related to solar equipment Excellent commercial acumen analytical thinking and decision-making skills Strong communication coordination and stakeholder management abilities Proficiency in procurement tools ERP systems SAP Oracle etc and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management or related field MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain Operations preferred Experience in utility-scale solar EPC companies or solar IPPs will be a strong advantage
