Company Description At Nielsen we are passionate about our work to power a better media future for all people by providing powerful insights that drive client decisions and deliver extraordinary results Our talented global workforce is dedicated to capturing audience engagement with content - wherever and whenever it s consumed Together we are proudly rooted in our deep legacy as we stand at the forefront of the media revolution When you join Nielsen you will join a dynamic team committed to excellence perseverance and the ambition to make an impact together We champion you because when you succeed we do too We enable your best to power our future Job Purpose The Senior Product Manager at Nielsen is an essential catalyst for innovation within the audience measurement landscape In this role you will oversee the entire product lifecycle including validating product-market fit executing the product vision and leading cross-functional teams to deliver products that delight our customers The Senior Product Manager will partner with business teams engineers technologists data scientists and other cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions for Nielsen s Audio measurement service In addition to the software product requirements management this individual will be responsible for the user story backlog and will be accountable for requirements decomposition and authoring of acceptance criteria for software Responsibilities Include Author user stories acceptance criteria and software requirements documentation Maintain a prioritized backlog that aligns with available engineering capacity and maps to an overall solution roadmap Identify and mitigate blockers risks issues and dependencies that may impact project delivery and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders Manage scope and drive trade-off decisions Coordinate the creation of release management documentation follow change management procedures and review post-deployment KPIs Serve as a high-availability resource for answering questions posed by engineers Data Scientists and key stakeholders Lead the planning and execution of projects from initiation to closure ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards Maintain in-depth knowledge of Nielsen s Audio products and their short and long term product strategy Set and track ROI goals for each product ensuring they deliver value and align with broader business objectives Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Requirements A bachelor s or master s degree in Business Administration Computer Science Data Science or a related field is often preferred 5-7 years experience in product management or a similar discipline Extensive experience practicing applying and coaching others on Agile development principles Strong technical aptitude and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to present effectively to upper management Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools Experience with backend processing systems Experience in serving multiple products with a single system and scrum team Additional Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications in Product Management Agile methodologies or related areas can be advantageous Prior experience in Audience Measurement Media industry is a plus Strong time management skills Familiarity with cloud product architecture and general software engineering practices preferred Familiarity with statistical modeling machine learning techniques preferred Additional Information Please be aware that job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by scammers seeking personal data or money Nielsen recruiters will only contact you through official job boards LinkedIn or email with a domain Be cautious of any outreach claiming to be from Nielsen via other messaging platforms or personal email addresses Always verify that email communications come from an address If you re unsure about the authenticity of a job offer or communication please contact Nielsen directly through our official website or verified social media channels
