Kshema General Insurance Limited (Kshema) was established in 2018 and is India's only Digital Agri Insurance Company, catering to farmers/cultivators in the Agriculture sector. Kshema enables cultivators with resilience from financial distress due to extreme climate events and perils through localised insurance products. Kshema is leveraging Technology to provide cutting-edge insurance solutions to farmers.
Kshema has a pan-India presence with more than 500+ employees on roles, along with 500+ employees as contractors.
Experience: Minimum 15 years
Qualification: Fellowship/Associateship with all actuarial exams cleared (IAI/IFoA or equivalent)
Role Overview
As a Senior Actuary, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and leadership skills to:
- Design and review pricing strategies across motor, health, property, and commercial lines
- Lead reserving and valuation exercises to ensure accurate liability measurement
- Drive capital modeling (Solvency II/IRDAI norms) and reinsurance optimization
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of actuarial analysts
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain actuarial models (Prophet, Emblem, or equivalent)
- Perform annual and quarterly reserve analyses; propose adjustments based on emerging trends
- Partner with underwriting and finance teams to align pricing with risk appetite and profitability targets
- Oversee IRDAI filings, statutory valuations, and submission of actuarial reports
- Conduct experience studies and loss ratio analyses to refine assumptions
- Guide capital adequacy assessments and stress testing for regulatory compliance
- Present technical findings to C-suite stakeholders and the board
Qualifications & Skills
- Fellowship/Associateship with all professional actuarial exams completed (IAI/IFoA/Equivalent)
- Minimum 15 years of actuarial experience, ideally in pricing, reserving, or capital modeling
- Proficiency in actuarial and statistical tools: Prophet, R, Python, SAS, SQL
- Strong understanding of IRDAI regulations, solvency frameworks, and reinsurance structures
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven track record of influencing senior management and driving cross-functional initiatives
