Key Responsibilities Quality Control Assurance Develop implement and monitor quality standards procedures and systems across the rice production line Ensure regular inspection and testing of raw materials paddy in-process grains and finished rice products Oversee grading processes including head rice percentage broken rice levels moisture content foreign matter and other critical parameters Regulatory Compliance Certifications Ensure adherence to national and international food safety and quality standards FSSAI HACCP ISO BRC etc Maintain audit readiness for government and third-party certifications Lead internal and external quality audits Process Optimization Team Leadership Identify areas of process improvement to reduce rejections waste and quality deviations Train and supervise QA QC staff ensuring strong lab practices and accurate documentation Coordinate with production procurement and R D teams for continuous product improvement Documentation Reporting Maintain records of quality control reports inspection logs and audit findings Provide monthly quality performance reports to senior management Key Skills Competencies In-depth knowledge of rice grading sorting milling and polishing Strong analytical and lab testing skills moisture meters whiteness testers etc Understanding of food safety systems and certifications Leadership and team management Excellent communication and reporting skills Problem-solving and attention to detail Preferred Background Experience working with parboiled basmati or non-basmati rice varieties Familiarity with rice export quality norms and international buyer requirements Hands-on experience with equipment like color sorters de-stoners and polishers
