Job Description Job Title: AVP, Risk Stewardship- Fraud Risk Purpose of the role Principal Responsibilities - Financial Crime (FC) function is part of the Second Line of Defense (SLOD) activity that includes Risk Stewards who are independent of the commercial risk-taking activities undertaken by the Group's businesses (also referred to as First Line of Defense or FLOD). - Produce supporting documentation for Group / Regional Fraud Risk Management Committee, Fraud Risk Working Groups and Trigger Events Forums - Produce a summary of fraud losses on a monthly basis, at a Global/Regional level. - Assist in providing commentary for Fraud Risk Maps, Fraud RAS, Top and Emerging Risk Reports and Control Effectiveness Management Meeting (CEMM) - Collate content for, produce and distribute the Group / Regional Fraud Risk Monthly Newsletter - Assist in administration of the Group / Regional Fraud Risk Education and Awareness Programme - Manage content updates to the Group / Regional Fraud Risk intranet page. - Assist in measuring fraud risk performance by sourcing and collating data at a Group/Regional Level - Produce documentation to provide read across of fraud trends, insights and future threats at Global/Regional levels. - Manage dispensations to internal and external Fraud Risk policies and own improvements to the dispensations process. - Support the team on delivering key priorities, focused on enhancing the Fraud Risk Framework in accordance with Global FC policy. - Support the Global / Regional FC Risk Stewards, provide oversight of Fraud controls to effectively challenge risks or control outcomes through analysis and review of Issue Management, L1 and L2 Controls, Inherent and Residual risks. Ensure overdue issues and actions are communicated to the relevant stakeholders as per guidance. - Perform read across of 2/3 LOD review reports and prepare read across actions for risk stewards for further disbursement. Update summary documents ( eg. Audit Summary matrix ) for Audit reports to ensure themes can be identified - Set & maintain Global FC Policy ( Liase with Risk Stewards and assist to undertake consultation activities, where relevant, with respect to changes/developments in Group policies/guidance) - Update the Fraud guidance documents to ensure consistent application of the Fraud framework across markets - Ability to translate MI of existing 1LoD controls into summaries for 2LoD Risk Stewards to highlight potential gaps, enhancements, or expansions to the Bank's overall Fraud Risk coverage. Qualification - At least 8 years experience in Financial Crime Risk management advisory or similar Risk function. - Proficient knowledge of Fraud (Internal and External) risks in the financial services industry. - Working experience of how Fraud control mitigates FC Risk and the various underpinning activities. - Understanding of how controls address the underlying FC Risk and associated aspects forming the overall Risk Management framework.
