Role Proficiency Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering Outcomes Understand and provide input to the application feature component designs developing the same in accordance with user stories requirements Code debug test document and communicate product component features at development stages Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation process improvements and agile delivery models Mentor Developer 1 - Software Engineering and Developer 2 - Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application system Proactively identify issues defects flaws in module requirement implementation Assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering on Technical problem is solved Additional Comments Key Responsibilities o o Design develop implement and maintain robust and scalable data integration solutions using various ETL ELT tools and techniques o o Extract data from diverse sources databases APIs flat files cloud platforms SFTP etc and transform it into a format suitable for the Customer CDP platform o o Help load integrated data into Customer Data Platform CDP data warehouses data lakes and other target systems o o Develop and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and other database objects for data manipulation and extraction o o Build easy to use transformation capabilities for use by Customer success team o o Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of integrated data o o Monitor and troubleshoot data integration jobs identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner o o Collaborate with data architects to define data models schemas and data governance standards o o Document data integration processes data flows and technical specifications o o Stay up-to-date with emerging data integration technologies tools and best practices o o Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our data engineering processes o o Develop and update internal documentation on data integrations customer projects and troubleshooting practices o o Serve as a technical point of contact collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on integration and support objectives Ideal Candidate o o Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or a related quantitative field o o 3-5 years of total Software engineering experience with 3 years in ETL ELT development or data engineering o o Experience in writing SQL queries Proficiency with any relational Database e g MySQL Postgres o o Experience in building ETl ELT pipelines with open source frameworks like Spark or any ETL tool o o Strong programming skills in Java or Scala o o Experience working in cloud platforms and their data services e g AWS S3 Lambda EC2 o o Experience with version control systems e g Git and CI CD pipelines o o Working understanding of REST APIs and data formats like JSON XML o o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail o o Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
