Qualifications and Skills - Minimum of 4 years experience in a purchasing role within the valve or a similar industry is essential for this position. - Strong expertise in supplier management, with a focus on building and maintaining robust supplier relationships (Mandatory skill). - Experience in ensuring quality and managing costs effectively in line with business objectives (Mandatory skill). - Proven track record in strategic sourcing and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency (Mandatory skill). - Demonstrated skills in cost reduction techniques that have directly impacted company profitability. - Effective contract management skills, ensuring compliance and favorable terms to protect business interests. - Strong ability in vendor development to enhance the supply chain network and introduce competitive supplier options. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with sound negotiation skills are essential for success. Roles and Responsibilities - Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet established cost savings targets and improve efficiency. - Lead supplier evaluation and management to ensure alignment with company standards for quality, cost, and delivery. - Engage in strategic negotiations to secure advantageous contract terms and contribute to sustained cost reductions. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline purchasing processes and resolve any procurement-related issues. - Drive vendor development initiatives to enhance the supplier network and increase competitiveness in sourcing. - Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and dynamics, making strategic sourcing decisions. - Prepare and present detailed reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost-efficiency metrics. - Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations in all purchasing activities.
