Job Title : Network Engineer L1 Experience : Min. 1 Year Location : Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Bhopal, Patna, Bhubaneshwar & Bangalore Qualification and experience of LI Resources BE/ B. Tech / Diploma in Eng. MCA/BSc-IT/BSc-Computers with valid CCNA or equivalent certification in Routing and Switching. Should have worked in organizations having more than 100 offices or in Tier-3 data centers. Should have working experience of minimum one year and expertise in routers, switches and other networking equipment. Functions/duties of L1 Resources First level troubleshooting of all network issues. Every incident has to be attended by L1 Engineers and basic troubleshooting should be done within one hour from the receipt of the ticket either through mail/SMS/telephone call/NMS Tool. Day-to-day maintenance of all network equipment etc. as per SLA. Configuration, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of all types of network links within LIC. Identify issues in LAN/IP-Telephony etc. and assist in their resolution. Network equipment installation at the locations where Network Engineers are based, if required. Manage network equipment configuration. Troubleshooting and debugging of problems, if any. Changes in configuration on the network devices. Monitoring of QoS performance. Liaison with field personnel/channel partners/service providers for prompt rectification of the issues based on up-time and run-time. Assisting with on-site support, resolution of problems. The L1 should be placed at LIC premises during LIC’s office hours. However, the hours may be extended wherever required. If the performance is not up to the mark, the personnel may have to be changed if LIC so requests. The L1 should be able to monitor and troubleshoot the network issues faced in Data Centers. Ability to perform the activities for various links such as ticket lodging, generation of reports from NMS, call handling, ticket tracking etc.
